Cuban Vice President Calls to Defend the Gains of the Revolution

Jose Machado Ventura, vice president of the Councils of State and Ministries of CubaThe second Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba José Ramón Machado Ventura exercised his vote in Guantanamo city, where he is a candidate for Parliament.

The also vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba expressed his joy for being a candidate for this eastern province since the beginning of being constituted the People´s Power and ratified his commitment with the eastern territory´s development of the sugar cane harvest, the productive poles and social programs.

The Hero of the Republic of Cuba recognized that the Second Eastern Front Frank País García of the Rebel Army, which today marks its 60th anniversary, was nourished by the men and women who contributed to the revolutionary struggle in the underground fight and the Commandery of Aguacate, in the municipality of El Salvador.

José Ramón Machado Ventura also recognized a big number of women among the candidates for deputies for their high level of demonstrated responsibility and this legislature has the duty to continue the defense of the people and the work of the Revolution.

It is necessary to maintain and strengthen the link with the people and more now when the United States intensifies its policy against Cuba. We need to provide more information to voters and we have to keep what we have. It is up to all the delegates and deputies and to all of us in a general sense to defend our conquests.
