pre-univertitary students, GuantanamoHigher Education in Guantanamo has more than two thousand students of pre-university students who successfully complete the twelfth grade, 934 of which belong to the specialties of stomatology, nursing and medical sciences.

Juan Ramón Borges Medina, secretary of the Provincial Commission for Entrance to Higher Education said that for the pre-university also studies in Economics, Agriculture and those of pedagogical profile are guaranteed, the latter with more than 540 capacities.

Students will have access to specialties of Social and Humanistic Sciences, among which the Bachelor's degrees in History, Journalism, Psychology, Philology, Sociology, Social Communication and Law stand out, Borges Medina said.

For the students of the Sports School and those who opt for other special alternatives to enter the university, the continuity of studies in Technical, Economic, Humanistic and Medical Sciences is also guaranteed.

Juan Ramón Borges Medina, secretary of the Provincial Commission of Entrance to the University, also said that basic science careers will be offered without the requirement to pass the entrance exams for the students winning medals in knowledge provincial and national contests.
