To praise high-quality radio works is the objective of the Provincial Radio Festival in Guantanamo to take place from April 2 to 5 of this year, which is dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of the beginning of the Wars of Independence.
The radio producers will compete in different categories as children's, historical, youth, musical programs, journalistic works of various genres and propaganda products, as well as two special categories about the Tarea Vida and Educación en Valores projects, in which they will compete in any genre or format.
The Guantanamo Radio Festival is an opportunity for improvement in which its specialists will give workshops on communication and propaganda, the use of music and social networks and how to raise creativity to broadcast historical programs.
The event aims to present new ways of producing radio programs at the same time to make an impact in the audience mediated by the cybernetic age and the avalanche of audiovisual products, a challenge for the professionals of this media with eight decades next to their people.
The winning works will participate in the International Radio and Television Convention to be held in June 2018 at the Plaza América Convention Center in Varadero.
