About 5 thousand tons of asphalt material will be used this year in several sections of the road from the communities of Alto de Boquerón to Palenque, in the municipality of Yateras, said Francisco Hernández Guibert, deputy director of the Roadways Provincial Center.
He said that the repair work will favor about three kilometers of this road at a cost of more than one million pesos, starting with 120 meters in Loma de la Sierra and 540 in the Baldor area, where frequent rainfalls delay the paving process.
Actions will follow the community of Felicidad, from Alto de Boquerón to Virginia Café, Buena Vista, La Clarita, the Palenque Bus Terminal and La Bamba, where work will be done to place the asphalt immediately after the earth movement, aiming to prevent damage from the rains.
The improvement of the Yateras main road started in January with forces from the Emilio Daudinot Brigade, as part of the company's maintenance plan, and should conclude in September, said the deputy director of the Provincial Road Center.
