A greater role in local development characterizes the management of the seven entities attached to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in Guantanamo, where these institutions overfulfilled exports and services planned for this stage of the year.
This was how América Santos and Danilo Alonso Mederos, vice-ministers of CITMA, assessed a work visit to the province aimed at learning about the execution of the economic plan and budget, the territorial strategy for the formation of human capital and the strengthening of actions to guarantee greater food safety.
Jesus Martin Perez, delegate of the Ministry of Science in Guantanamo, stressed that the science and technology units overpay their profits due to the services provided in the fundamental agricultural sector severely affected by the drought.
In this regard, he stressed the need to provide added value to the benefits of that ministry, in addition to achieving that areas of the Alejandro De Humboldt National Park reach their own support from services generated by this World Heritage Site.
During their visit to Guantanamo, América Santos and Danilo Alonso Mederos, vice ministers of CITMA, visited the Provincial Historical Archive, the Territorial Normalization Unit and the Technological Information and Management Center, a preamble of visits to units of the municipalities of San Antonio del South, Baracoa and Maisí.
