At its usual venue in Guantanamo, from June 5 to the 8th, this issue will be held, in which narrators, versifiers, visual artists, curators and critics from several Cuba´s regions converge annually, promoted by the recognition of the most important event in this city.

There are also dozens of works submitted to the collateral contest in the category of literary criticism, which goes up to its second chapter promoted by the members of the Cuban Association of Writers and Artists, and the Amateur Kindergarten Poetry Contest.

In the case of the visual arts, the jury will also be made up of experts from other territories, including the Pavel Alejandro Barrios from Camagüey, curator and critic of the art; and the Doctor of Art Sciences María Teresa Fleitas, professor at the Universidad de Oriente.

The awards giving and closing gala will be next Friday at La Guantanamera Cultural Center. For the visual arts category a unique prize and a Creation Grant will be given, and for literature there will be a laurel for each genre, a special award for a writer under 35 years of age, and the confirmation to the winners of next publication by the Editorial El Mar y la Montaña.

The "Regino E. Boti Contest was created in 1978, on the centenary of the birth of this remarkable Guantanamo intellectual, a renovator of the Cuban lyric of the early twentieth century who, as in literature, bequeathed an important pictorial work.

Contestants from all over the Island recognize this meeting as one of the most prestigious for their endorsements as creators.
