Students Federation Promotes Culture of Rejection to Addictions

adolescentes adicción area 320x207The Guantanamo Federation of high School Students in Guantanamo (FEEM) invite to reflection through the project “No seas uno más” (Do not be one more), which promotes a culture of rejection to addictions from the classrooms to the communities and in this territory calls for a new encounter on the upcoming 19th, in the municipality of Baracoa.

 

In information offered to CMKS by Yénisis Torriente, member of the provincial secretariat of the Young Communists League, the initiative of the Federation of High School Students in Guantanamo, helps to raise the prominence of that Organization, by promoting a greater knowledge of the damages caused by the consumption alcohol, tobacco and other toxic substances.

She said that Medical Sciences students and health specialists contributed to the training of the duos and instructors that operate in the educational centers in charge of the promotion of debates among students in an initiative that emerged in 2016.

Through the screening of videos and films, talks, conferences, didactic games, face to face debates, this preventive work is carried out, which is open to other alternatives enhancing timely prevention of events related to addictions.

The FEEM project “No seas uno más” (Do not be one more) invites the family and the entire community to delve into these issues because of their social impact, by focusing their work in adolescents in an effort to improve behaviors in current scenarios.
