An important analysis and instruction work is carried out by the more than 3 thousand members of the Cuba Association of Economists and Accountants (ANEC, in Spanish), in Guantanamo, who develop trainings related to the Tax Law, Government Accounting, Foreign Investment and design of the plans and budgets in the entities.
Among the priorities of work is also the sponsorship of about twenty courses, workshops and lectures that improve the knowledge of workers in the field, students and a part of the more than 14 thousand non-state entrepreneurs in the province.
Fernando González López, president of the ANEC in Guantanamo, highlights that the organization is now concentrating the work in the discussion of the call to the 8th Congress in the more than 200 grassroots sections distributed throughout the territory.
At this stage, he said, two key issues of the work agenda: the contribution of the membership to the updating of the Cuban economic model and the operation of the Association of Economists in the territory where the municipalities Niceto Pérez and El Salvador are outstanding in the country.
On occasion to the 8th Congress, the ANEC, which recently celebrated its 39th anniversary, also revitalizes its links with the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences and the Asdrúbal López Economics Vocational School, where nearly 500 young people study the specialties of Hotel Accommodation, Human Capital, Accounting, among other profiles.
