The great expectation among the mountain residents of this territory to acquire the new Constitution began to be satisfied since the distribution of the Magna Carta copies in the nine municipalities belonging to the Turquino Plan, began days ago.
Juan Ruperto Pérez Pérez, general director of the Post Office enterprise, in Guantanamo Province, said that the commercialization in the territory extends to each of the 56 points of sale in the ten municipalities of the province, especially those of the largest rural and mountain population.
The distribution of the constitutional text is adjusted locally so that it reaches each of the communities, even the most difficult-access community, through the postmen and press agents, he said.
Likewise, the inauguration of the electoral commissions of the 600 electoral districts has also concluded, after establishing the municipal and the provincial ones, while the training of the electoral authorities and other preparations continues, with the view that the more than 376,000 Guantanamo voters can exercise their vote for Cuba and the conquests of the Revolution on February 24, date in which the new Law of laws will be submitted to popular referendum.
Consulted by Granma on the preparations of the referendum in their respective localities, the presidents of the electoral commissions of Baracoa, Imías, Yateras and Maisí, municipalities belonging in their totality to the Turquino Plan, assured that they are performing according to the foreseen program and that a great commitment and enthusiasm is perceived in all the personnel that participate in them, and among the population.
They highlighted, in this sense, the training of the electoral authorities, the updating of the register of voters and general aspects such as the clarification of the functions of the members of the polling stations and of the conditions that each one must ensure for the day of voting, as the presence in them of the Cuban Flag and the Shield, the ballot boxes and the custody of these by the pioneers, among others.
The previous preparation of the electoral authorities includes the filling of the brochures, the parts and the statistical work, they argued.
