With an emotive act in the Plaza de la Revolución Mariana Grajales, the first delegation that will participate in the final sessions of the XXI Congress of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC), officially received the flag in Guantánamo, a meeting to be held between the 20th and the 24th April of this year.
The 80th anniversary flag of the CTC is as the symbol of the responsibility by attending the great event of the workers of the country to represent them; Take it with the highest honor, said Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, president of the Organizing Committee, by handing the flag to Juana Eglis Fernández Louit, secretary general of the organization in the province.
On the other hand, the top CTC leader in the territory reaffirmed the commitment of her companions to represent with dignity the Guantanamo people with correct and critical opinions that allow the membership to advance the labor movement in a faithful way to the principles of unity, discipline and strength of the revolutionary ideals.
Some 64 delegates and 2 guests, among them the heroine of the work and outstanding doctor Anselma Betancourt, are part of the Guantanamo group that already express their main concerns on the import substitution, the increase of the exportable lines, the productive chain and actions to promote foreign investment.
Other topics to analyze are related to the application of payment systems, the internal functioning of the organization, the implementation of non-state management models in different branches of the economy and contractual relations with workers in that sector.
The Organizing Committee of the XXI Congress of CTC reported that as a novelty of the event is the participation of workers from other nations that includes during the session the exchange of experiences with members of several organizations from several continents.
