With the computerization of six civil registry offices, Guantanamo became the first province in the country to computerize a large part of the institutions that provide registry services to expedite the procedures requested by citizens.

After an arduous work of several years, the province managed to computerize all the offices of Manuel Tames, Imías, Caimanera, Niceto Pérez and Jamal, in Baracoa, an advance that will also eliminate late delivery of documents and the agglomeration of people.

Guantanamo has a total of thirteen entities of this type, scattered throughout the Guantanamo geography and it is expected that by the end of this year the registry office of Maisi, Yateras and other institutions will be automated that will have a single database, which will facilitate the rectification of errors, one of the main complaints of users today.

With the computerization of the civil registry offices, it allows great security in the procedures and also in the face of some natural phenomenon or accidents such as fires, these data are protected and can be accessed immediately.
