Perera valued the results of the province in the knowledge and spreading of the life and work of the revolutionary fighter and cited as an example the significance of the International Encounter of Marti Clubs in November last year and the Marti Gardens Forests Workshop which took place in the Guantanamo community of Cajobabo.
The young officer referred to the advantage of the Marti doctrine, a paradigm that shapes and strengthens cultural, patriotic and human values in childhood, youth, family and society in the current times and announced the program of events scheduled this year.
On June 14, he said, the young followers of Marti in Cuba will perform the climbing of certain hills, under the title Homage in the hills, as a tribute to Major General Antonio Maceo Grajales on the 170th anniversary of his birth and 87th of the Guerrilla Hero Ernesto Guevara de la Serna. Reinaldo said that on August 25 the Third Route of the hundred Ceibas Expedition, will be undertaken this time by five outstanding young people within seventy days from Maisi Point to San Antonio Cape.
The Marti Squares Movement, created in Guantanamo and the rest of the island belongs to the Jose Martí Cultural Society and is also supported by the Young Communist League, in order to encourage the participation of young generation in the study and spread of the life and work of the most universal of all Cubans.
