Bringing the performing arts to remote places and promoting community exchange for 25 years, is an indisputable achievement of the Guantanamo- Baracoa Theater Crusade, a merit acknowledged by directors and workers of the Union of the cultural sector in the territory by giving the Seal 75th anniversary conferred by the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC).
Upon giving the recognition, Nereida López Labrada, secretary of the National Union of Workers in the sector, highlighted the sustained work of the theater group that already acquired international dimensions and each year transform the Guantanamo Mountains.
For actors, actresses and puppeteers, this union medal increases commitment to make better Guantanamo theater by sharing with the public, the promotion of the local history through their performances and the passing to the young generations the creative seed of the performing arts.
The Guantanamo Baracoa Theater Crusade treasures a quarter century and by giving the 75th anniversary Seal of the proletarian Organization, they become part of the organizations and personalities that in Cuba represent a strong expression of the revolutionary gains.
