Thirteen of the 18 urban human settlements in the Guantanamo Province are already registered and issue the cadastral certificates that replace the technical opinion of the community architect in the procedures of the population related to housing.
This year, the settlements of Héctor Infante and Argeo Martínez must be added to this group, both in the Manuel Tames Municipality, and the Guantanamo City, said Isabel Arguelles Berdión, head of the Cadastre and Information Department of the provincial physical planning directorate.
Currently, work is being done to complete the research carried out by the aforementioned entity through the visit of the technicians to each house in September, while the survey of the land contracted with Geocuba must wait for the availability of flights to obtain the aerial images.
However, the province remains with Cienfuegos as one of the most advanced in the urban cadastre, with an over-compliance of 180 percent of the plan, and the projection to complete this housing census in the first quarter of next year.
For now, says Arguelles Berdión, the paperwork office of this city and the municipal Physical Planning Directorates issued more than 2 thousand 300 cadastral certifications since 2017, a document that in addition to greater precision facilitates the procedures of the population and reduces the costs.
