The imperial arrogance seems to have no limits in its aspiration to destroy the Cuban Revolution.
The value of the resistance of this people is ignored by those who, despite their constant failures, trying to make us kneel down with political and diplomatic maneuvers, false propaganda, aberrant laws, and a genocidal blockade that after almost six decades insists on affecting the sustainable development of this nation.
Even so, the North American administrations have managed to defeat the stoicism of the Cuban people, who are always ready to overcome any obstacle under the lifelong learning of Fidel, who with his example showed that man is able to overcome the toughest conditions without going back on its principles.
It was the Commander in Chief himself who expressed in one of his speeches: ... Thank you Yankee Empire, because you made us grow, you made us reach the top over the years ...
And that concept of elevation contains the level of greatness of all Cubans showed in various situations in more than half a century of growing North American’s hostility against our country in order to destabilize the our political model.
The extension for another year of the law that establishes the basis of the blockade against Cuba is another link in the long chain of aggressions by governments that disrespect the international community and throw away the principles of respect for sovereignty contained in The Charter of the United Nations.
We are not surprised to the empire’s proceed, which has always undermined the rights of the Cuban people. They has attempted in plunging us into despair and discouragement amidst the shortcomings caused by that hegemonic attitude focused in its old strategy, which, as always, is far from submitting us.
The most recent attitude of citizens throughout the country in the face of the adverse energy situation that the nation is experiencing is a sign of increasing the unity, our most valuable strength.
As the Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez expressed, the country is not paralyzed, and in the face of the enemy's Plan, we respond with the Homeland Plan: save our resources and implement measures that minimize the effects on basic services.
Before the empire's aspirations, we continue enhancing solidarity, understanding, and willingness in the search for solutions to build a better country for all.
