onatThe National Office of the Tax Administration in Guantanamo urges to make the payment of taxes of transport, possession of vessels and the special contribution to social security by the land usufructuary within the period prescribed until September 30.

The information, reported by Alis María Pérez Hernández, head of the Taxpayer Attention Department, show significant delays, especially in natural persons, as from 5 486 taxpayers,  just over three thousand, for 77, 6 percent, paid off, a very high figure, less than the same date of the previous year.

In the case of legal persons, they also present delays in this tax obligation since 606 enterprises and organizations, 92, 1 percent of the potential existing in this eastern territory, paid the taxes.

The representative of the ONAT also explains that the number of taxpayers who benefited from the discount of the 20 percent bonus, which includes those who paid off before February 28, decreases with respect to the previous year.

Referring to land usufructuaries, Alis María Pérez Hernández, head of the Taxpayer Assistance Department, said that of the 3,846 members affiliated with the Special Social Security Regime, to date only 907 paid the taxes, a term that expires the coming September 30.

She insisted that those who do not pay the commitments made with the Treasury will be charged for the delay as established by Decree 308 of 2012.
