As part of the activities commemorating the 59th anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), in the Guantanamo province, the largest mass organization in the country, it grants for the first time Voz 60 Aniversario de los CDR Distinction to various centers and entities from different economic and social sectors.
This award is a novelty in the CDR’s task that has not been registered before during almost six decades of its foundation, which is expected to be implemented throughout the campaign scheduled until 2020.
Due to its close ties of collaboration and integration with the CDRs, the Border Brigade, Antonio Maceo Order, had the privilege of being the first to receive recognition, which was also granted to the CMKS Radio Station and the Provincial Directorate of Education.
In the next few days the Television Center will be recognized, the Radio Rebelde correspondent in Guantanamo, as well as the Blood Bank, the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior and the Cuban Workers Federation at the same time.
The beautification of the neighborhoods, the days of voluntary blood donations, the acts to enroll new members to the organization and the preparations for the big party for the 59th years of the CDR will be part of the initiatives of the 857 barrios of the province.
