The development of quality relations between the organizations and their audiences centered the debates of the first Colloquium on Protocol and Ceremonial that recently took place in Guantanamo sponsored by the Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS) of the territory, on occasion the Inter-American Public Relations Day.
In the event that brought together more than twenty specialists in social communication and other fields, the current norms that guide the behavior of the participants in ceremonies and academic and social events were analyzed, from the perspective of the lecturer Margarita Viel Fajardo, head of the institutional communication department of the University of Guantanamo.
The MsC. Viel also pointed out that there is a lack of preparation on the subject because sometimes the Institutions organize workshops, annual balances, events and there are doubts about where to place the hosts with respect to the guests, the best way to present the participants; as well as details to answer the telephone calls to the entity, which should be the tone of voice that prevails within organizations, including regulating the use of clothing even in those institutions that do not have a uniform.
The meeting became a platform to highlight the communicative practices of several Guantanamo entities that lack methods and procedures to show an appropriate image according to their corporate purpose, and in this way solutions were proposed, while the practices of some universities were taken as a national reference on the Protocol and the Ceremonial in its management, dynamics, and impact.
