As an example of popular participation and the interest of finding solutions to the problems that neighborhoods and society in general present, the accountability meeting of the Central People's Council took place in the 61 barrios of the Center, in the Guantanamo City.
With the presence of Tony Matos, first Secretary of the Party in the capital municipality, this pilot assembly was held, one of which takes place in the province in the second process corresponding to the seventeenth Mandate Period.
In the meeting held on Antonio Saco Street between Narciso López and Paseo, delegate Clara Lidia Digurnay Durruthy reported on her management during the previous period, in which she dealt with issues related to the instability of solid waste collection, obstruction of swallows, the request for subsidies, among other approaches.
During the exchange with the voters there was debate about the illegal sale of products at the entrance and the surroundings of commercial establishments such as ideal markets, problems with water supply and the play of children in the street until late hours of the night that affects the tranquility of the neighbors.
In this regard, the delegate spoke for a greater attention of the family to children and called for a space dedicated to children and adolescents to promote values and knowledge of history.
The pilot assembly that was held in 61 neighborhood, of the Popular Center Council in the Guantanamo City, was also a time to acknowledge the members of the children's project that enlighten the neighborhood during the summer and call for energy savings, amid the deficit of fuel that affects the country.
