In exchange with the executives of the municipalities belonging to mountain range Nipe-Sagua-Baracoa and Sierra Maestra, Oscar Alberto Carbajal Serrano, National Director pointed out that priority is to repair the roads in-hard-to reach areas in the municipalities of Yateras, Niceto Perez, San Antonio del Sur, Imías, Caimanera and El Salvador.

Participants at the meeting also spoke for the reorganization of transport in the twenty-seven active routes in the mountains, in which they must comply with transportation to avoid accidents in intricate areas.

The reorganization of passenger transport in the territory Turquino Plan reduces the exodus of people from the mountains to the cities that figure far exceeds twenty thousand people.

Since 1987 the Guantanamo people who lived in the mountains, have a differentiated service covering a wide range of services, shows the scope of the work of the revolution to the most remote places.
