Under the name of Cultural Summer Crusade, the project is aimed at bringing arts to inaccessible areas that until now do not include the extensive tour performed annually by the Guantanamo Baracoa Theater Crusade.
Thus, landlocked communities in hard-to-reach areas in the municipalities of El Salvador, Niceto Perez and Caimanera will see the dream to come true when they enjoy of the presentations of Guantanamo playwrights and other artists.
During the first three weeks of July, theater groups of Guiñol, La Barca, Carpandilla circus group, the dance companies Médula and Danza Libre, and groups that belong to the catalog of the Provincial Center of Music Lili Martinez Griñán, and members José Martí Brigade, will be responsible for enriching the cultural life of the inhabitants of the dozens of settlements included in the itinerary.
Inspired by the concept of the Community Theater Crusade, undoubtedly the Cultural Summer Crusade will become one of the most far-reaching options of the summer period for the inhabitants of the towns involved, precisely in a season in which it is essential to strengthen links between artist and community through a program properly designed from a professional perspective.
