Dealing with material shortages and import substitution over five thousand women members of the innovators movement in the province play a leading role.

In this territory, women represent 40 percent of the force and are head of three of the five municipal offices existing here, said Luis Hugo Negret  Perez, president of the Cuban Association for Innovators.

The Guantanamo women are distinguished in centers such as the Textile Ambar Enterprise, Food Industry, Pharmacies and Optics and in the Public Health sector where their inventive help improve the patient´s care.

In these achievements it is also important to notice that women represent over the 60 percent of the leaders of the more than six hundred committees existing in the different institutions of the province.

The insertion of Guantanamo women in ANIR supports the active participation of women in all ambits as well as their contribution to the economic and social development for more than five decades of Revolution.
