Amid the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the founding of the Santiago de Cuba Villa, the people in that city holds today a national rally for the 62nd anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Garrisons.
The ceremony began At 5 and 12 am, at the same time the feat of Moncada took place, with a symbolic assault performed by students of secondary education, in remembrance of the events we remember as the Day of National Rebellion.
Together with children and adolescents, the commanders and attackers of the Moncada Garrison and commanders of the Revolution, followed by the reading of the poem Ya estamos en combate, as well as the recall of the names of those brave men who gave their lives in this action, began this meeting with Homeland in the city of Santiago de Cuba.
