Guantanamo University will host the national event for the 35th anniversary of higher education in Cuba, in recognition to the positive results in the teaching, scientific and extension activities obtained by the Institution during the last school year.
Guantanamo University will host the national event for the 35th anniversary of higher education in Cuba, in recognition to the positive results in the teaching, scientific and extension activities obtained by the Institution during the last school year.
The increase of Doctors and Masters in the teaching staff, scientific events of great socio cultural impact and local development, implementation of thirty diplomats, dozens of courses, offers of advising and management services to enterprises in the territory, figure among the most significant achievements of the Institution.
The celebration for the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Higher Education will take place on September 5 at the Guaso Theater in Guantanamo city and coincides with the first year of formalization of university integration in this region.
It is also scheduled a Meeting of Rectors of the eastern universities and that of Camaguey, with the aim of strengthening links and exchange experiences on ways to improve the educational process in such centers.
All this is an incentive for professors and rest of the staff in the center, who are also involved in the final details for the beginning of the 2015- 2016 school year, whose opening ceremony will take place on September 1 in the theater of that educational Institution.
As part of the preparations for the new school year at the Guantanamo University, construction and repair works have been done in the students´ residence as well as in other different areas.
