Nearly a dozen Guantanamo innovators aspire to the 2015 Economic and Social Impact Award in the province for their inventive, which guarantee efficiency in enterprises.
Leaders of the Association of Innovators in Guantanamo, ANIR, highlight the ability of Jorge Diaz Guzman, who made an adjustment in order to improve the functioning of the soybean line, which benefited the Dairy Enterprise in the territory.
Innovations in centers like the Pediatric Hospital, Muebles Imperio, GeoCuba, the Building Enterprise and sectors of Education and Health also stand out.
The more than 12 thousand members of this organization in the territory contribute with their inventions to solve technological problems, facing industrial obsolescence and replace imports.
According to ANIR ´s statistics in Guantanamo, in 2014 its members contributed with nine point six million pesos, national currency, to the provincial economy, exceeding previous years' taxes.
Towards a greater generalization of innovations and in order to eliminate the passivity of some administrative and union structures around the attention and recognition of ANIR members, this association projects, in tune with changes in Cuban economic model, a management that should be a prerequisite for progress in the development and efficiency of businesses in the province.
