The José Martí Park in the capital city is once again the stage for the celebration, where Coro Maculino and Voz Tempo, the Provincial Concert Band and dancers of local companies perform.
With special dedication to the 145th anniversary of foundation of the town of this territory, the Cuban Culture Day, inaugurated on 10 October, has become a space for traditions, history and arts in Guantanamo, shown in several activities like festivals, the creation of the Chair of Rumba, troubadour's recitals, clasicc music concerts and children's shows and tributes to artists from the province, panels, book presentations, among others.
The Season of Danza Fragmentada Company and Concert Bands Meeting “Nicolás Segundo Pereira” took on special significance during these days, because their performing also marked the especial celebration in Cuba.
The Feast of the traditions is another activity scheduled for this day in the House of Culture “Ruben Lopez Sabariego, “which also presents the Landscape Visual Arts Award "Jose Vazquez Pubillones" in the Art Center José Lecticio Salcines, and the closing concert in the style of Waldo Mendoza, to be held in the Teatro Guaso this city.
With changüí music, or alternative concert music, exhibitions, dance performace, literature and all arts that is generated from Guantanamo, we commemorate the Day of the Cuban Culture, an occasion to reaffirm our identity, race and the future of the country that contemplates us proudly.
