Innovation and local development in updating the Cuban economic model will be key topics at the 2015 TECNOGEST Scientific Event, to be held from October 22 to 23 in Guantanamo province.
The workshop, a biannual event since 2005, will be attended by over 100 delegates, as well as members from the universities of Santiago de Cuba, Matanzas, Granma, Havana, and other entities in the country, said to the weekly Venceremos Elizabeth Alvarez Cambas, president of the event´s organizing committee.
The papers, now totaling 34, will discuss issues on sustainable local development, technological innovation, marketing and regional environments and their insertion in international trade, adaptations to climate change, the impact of the information management as well as knowledge of locations.
Also the program will allow showing the application of scientific studies for the development of communities and the proper management of science in the implementation of the country´s economic and social policy, said Alvarez Cambas.
During the encounter lectures will be given related to the workshop issues together an Expository Fair will be held at the Guantanamo Exhibition Hall, which propitiates the presentation of products and services of information centers, research and producing and distributing enterprises.
TECNOGEST, sponsored by the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information, with its subsidiary CIGET in Guantanamo, propitiates winners to present their works at the International Event on Knowledge and Information Management (INFO) to be held next year.
