About 40 films by Cuban young filmmakers may be appreciated by Guantanamo and Baracoa residents, mainly as part of the third issue of the Cineandante Festival, unique event that promotes the audiovisual section of the Saiz Brothers Association (AHS) in Guantanamo.
From October 27 to 31 the communities involved in the Turquino plan such as Hatibonico, Caimanera (co-host of the event), and Jamal, Nibujon and La Laguna, will receive proposals that are usually far from the traditional television programming, but now are part of the ICAIC Young Film Festival and Almacen de la Imagen in the province of Camaguey.
This particular issue will add those works made by Cuban young creators, products made in this eastern province by students and graduates of the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA), films produced by independent enterprises like Guama FILMS and Tibara.com, and a group of Mountain Television documentaries.
Dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the Primada Vision Local TV Chanel, in Baracoa, the 145 anniversary of the Foundation of Guantanamo city, and the 45th year of the creation of Elpidio Valdes, by Juan Padron, Cineandante also proposes a workshop on the author of the mambi character, on October 28 at 10 am.
On the evening of October 29 on Primada Vision, filmmaker David Vicente Morales will present his experience on Mountain Television, while filmmaker Guillermo Kerton, recent winner of the scholarship of creation El reino de este mundo, of AHS, will speak on GTV, the newly created municipal channel in Guantanamo.
