With a cultural ceremony of allegories to Brazilian culture and a tribute to the literary imprint of the renowned writer Ana Luz García Calzada, the 32nd International Book Fair concluded in Guantanamo.

The Huambo Cultural Center in this city hosted the closing gala with the participation of the territory´s virtuoso instrumentalists, including maestro Conrado Monier.  With the art direction of Lázaro McPherson, the ceremony was attended by local guest writers and artists who were the main figures in this issue of the literary event.

The headquarters of the Provincial Committee of the Cuban Association of Writers and Artists (UNEAC), the Pedro Agustín Pérez House Museum, the Ismaelillo Children’s Playground, the José Martí central park, the Salcines Palace Gallery, and the Ateneo Asdrúbal López Bookstore were of the main locations of the Fair that also reached educational and health institutions as well as communities in transformation.

Near 2 thousand titles and more than 60 thousand copies were available to Guantanamo residents during the local chapter of the International Book Fair that honored the consecrated writer Ana Luz García Calzada on her 80th anniversary birthday; philosopher, researcher, intellectual and 1998 Social Sciences National Prize, Isabel Monal, writer and art professor Francisco López Sacha and Brazil, the guest country of honor were added.
