Cuban president, Raúl Castro, arrived here for an official visit to Mexico, where he will meet with his counterpart,president Enrique Peña Nieto.

The local and national history’s figures as Fidel Castro, Arnaldo Tamayo Méndez and poet Regino Eladio Boti appear in the mural downtown area, on the corner of the streets Ramon Pinto and Guillermón Moncada, in Guantanamo, one of the actions of the Project Origin carried out by the City Development Group.

About 50 congenital malformations incompatible with life were detected this year in Guantanamo thanks to comprehensive studies carried out on childbearing and pregnant women at the Provincial Center of Genetics, an achievement that avoided the complications of a neonatal or maternal death in these cases.
