Pope Francis arrived in Cuba on Saturday afternoon and was recieved by Army General Raul Castro Ruz, president of the Council of States and Ministers.
The visit of Pope Francis to Cuba, from September 19 to 22, is the adequate moment to reflect on the spirituality of our people and their freedom to worship, a legitimate right enshrined in Article 8, Chapter 1 on the Constitution of the Republic.
The Cuban archipelago is honored with the visit of Pope number 266 in the history of the catholic Church: Pope Francis.
Representatives of the Guantanamo-Baracoa Diocese will be also present at the encounter that the Pontiff will hold with the Cuban families and in the religious celebration that will take place in the sanctuary of Our Lady of Charity of Cobre.
