The Association of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) conferred on Monday the status of honorary members to the five Cuban antiterrorists who suffered unjust imprisonment in the United States.

Isbel Guilarte Reyes, secretary general of the Cuban Workers' Federation in Guantanamo, announced that the fulfillment with more than 27 thousand tons of the sugar cane plan is one of the main achievements reached by the workers in the province, on the occasion of May Day celebrations.

Last year Guantanamo Innovators contributed with more than nine million pesos (National Currency) to the provincial economy, a considerable contribution through the solution of technological problems, upon facing industrial obsolescence and imports substitutions.
