The tenth workshop on Tradition, Identity and Marti Presence to be held from April 9 to 12 in Cajobabo, located in the Guantanamo municipality of Imías, hosts some 80 delegates from the eastern provinces, who will present researches on José Marti´s mst relevant events and experiences.

Residents of the Guantanamo municioality of Baracoa, on behalf of all Cuba, ratified today the strength of this generation in defending the homeland, 120 years after the arrival of the  Major Generals of the liberation army Antonio Maceo and Flor Crombet along with other patriots, as an answer to the call by  José Martí, organizer of the Necessary War.

The barren landscape of El Toldo, affected by mining activities three decades ago, recovers trhough the actions undertaken by environmentalists in Guantanamo, who last year rehabilitated 8,5 acres of the place located in the Alejandro de Humboldt National Park, World Heritage Site.

Women´s presence multiplies in more than one thousand  places of major people´s influx in Guantanamo, where the pictures and biographical synthesis of candidates to the upcoming by-elections to be sheduled for April 19 are published since today.
