El Salvador Municipality is getting ready to welcome young people who will approach the "Ruta de los Generales", one of the projects that the Young Communist League (UJC) promotes this summer to learn more about the history of this eastern province.

About 110 thousand pesos (National Currency) are planned to be invested by the provincial delegation of Water Resources in the set of insertion flowmeters in the Guanta and Guaso water treatment plants in Guantanamo.

Alexey Aranda, Subdelegate of Water Resources, said that one of this measuring equipment will also be assembled, at a cost of 159 thousand pesos, with greater benefits in the Baracoa water treatment plant, where the booths for automatic equipment are already being built.

Encouraging donations of breast milk to the "Sonrisa del mañana" Human Milk Bank in Guantanamo, is the purpose of its specialists, who call future mothers to become aware of this humanitarian gesture that promotes the babies´ growth and health.

During the current year 678 puerperal women in the province helped to the survival of children born below the appropriate weight, intolerance to artificial milk or mothers unable to breastfeed due to several diseases.

A dozen products premiered at the CMKS Radio Station are offered this summer thanks to the work of its specialists in addition to the implementation of changes taking into account their objectives to accompany, educate, guide and entertain the audience.

Among the new broadcasts are "Zumbido", dedicated to children, and the dramatized program "Entre tu y yo”, which proposes a reflection for the family on topics of social interest, both airing on Monday and Friday each week.

More than one hundred and seventy thousand bottles of sodiumypochlorite were distributed from January to date in the network of Guantanamo Pharmacies, with the aim of making water drinkable, whose use without optimum conditions constitutes one of the main causes of gastrointestinal diseases.
