Guantanamo has more than a hundred activists, who contribute along with sign language interpreters, to facilitate the communication of the deaf, which allows the full inclusion of that group in the society.

Cuban President Congratulates Arts Education Students, Professors, and Workers
Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, sent a message of congratulations to students, professors, and workers linked to Arts education.
Of the nearly 19,000 graduates of the University of Medical Sciences of Guantanamo, more than 600 belong to 34 nations in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, said Nuria Pérez Delgado, the rector of the University.
More than 12,600 students in seventh and eighth grades of Guantanamo review the contents of the subjects Spanish, Mathematics, Chemistry and Natural Sciences, with the aim of presenting better prepared to the final tests to begin from 19 to 27 of June in schools of the territory.
