The Panama mayoralty decreed today the fulfillment of some measures and prohibitions for the VII Summit of the Americas, to be held next April 10 and 11.

Among the regulations highlight the no use of any article covering totally or partially the people' s face and carry firearms or sharp instrument in a perimeter of 500 meters from the Atlapas Conventions Center, where the meeting will be held.

In its fourth article, the decree also establishes the banning of hawkers in the districts of Calidonia, Bella Vista and San Francisco and the creation of scandals and noises that violate the order.

Similarly, it authorizes mayors, legal inspectors and municipal guards to remove from the place vehicles and other goods abandoned on the streets which are part of the perimeter appointed by the authorities for the summit.

The people violating the regulations of the current decree will be sanctioned with fines ranging from 50 and one thousand dollars, emphasized the document.

More than one thousand agents from different security groups received special training in explosives, presidents' protection, negotiation, terrorism, organized crime and crisis, among other subjects.

To all of these will be added the 5,000 troops the government will allocate, advised by international experts, to ensure he safety of the 35 Heads of States and Governments of the region that will be gathered together in this capital.

The VII Summit of the Americas will be held under the slogan ' Prosperity with Equity' , and prior will be held four forums: Youth, Businessmen, Rectors and Civil Society, and at least two parallel meetings of social and indigenous organizations.
