Ecuador today hosts the First International Conference: Discursive territories in Latin America - Inter-culturality, Communication and Identity, an event related to the communicative work of the continent.
The International Center for Advanced Communication Studies for Latin America (CIESPAL) will host the meeting until Wednesday, September 14th. The conference is organized by the organization, as well as the Latin American Society for Intercultural Studies and the University of La Frontera, located in Chile.
Opening a space for reflection among scholars who analyze the issue of discourse and communicative practices from the regional perspective and in defense of common problems and their identities, is the main objective of the meeting.
The event also aims to exchange views and different ways to produce texts to see the problems that should be taken into account when the complex cultural and historical events of the many peoples making up this territory are analyzed, organizers said.
The congress will also be suitable for convening the scientific community, to be part of the Latin American Society for Intercultural Studies, founded in 2012.
Experts from Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Chile, Argentina and Ecuador are attending the conference.
