Bolivian President Evo Morales will inaugurate today the 5th International Oil and Gas Congress, dedicated to energy security and the challenges and opportunities of hydrocarbons. The fifth edition of the event will take place for two days in the eastern city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in a context marked by the development of shale gas and the intense global and regional hydrocarbons trading.
Bolivian President Evo Morales will inaugurate today the 5th International Oil and Gas Congress, dedicated to energy security and the challenges and opportunities of hydrocarbons. The fifth edition of the event will take place for two days in the eastern city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in a context marked by the development of shale gas and the intense global and regional hydrocarbons trading.
The attendance to the meeting was confirmed by entrepreneurs of a dozen countries, aware that this became an international reference for the analysis of the situation and strategies of the gas and oil industry.
In addition, current and crucial themes will be discussed, which allows further knowledge of the behaviour and an outlook of the markets and the challenges of industry, according to a press note released by Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), organizer of the event.
Delegates also addressed the behaviour in the market of natural gas worldwide, the challenges in the context of selling prices for fuel and oil, as well as exploration prospects in the new price conditions.
In addition, energy security and the opportunity of regional integration will be analyzed, the impact of the price of oil and gas in petrochemical projects and policies and energy challenges for the next five years and the consolidation of exploration and petrochemicals in Bolivia.
Participants include executives and officials of international organizations in the hydrocarbons sector, state enterprises of gas and oil, private oil companies and consulting firms recognized worldwide.
The experts come from Qatar, Norway, Brazil, France, Bolivia, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay, among others.
