Australian journalist and Wikileaks founder Julian Assange today asked the Swedish justice to overturn an arrest warrant against him, gollowing the ruling of a United Nations panel which considered his situation an arbitrary detention.

The UN special envoy to Western Sahara, Christopher Ross, starts today a visit to the North African region in order to prepare the forthcoming visit of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the Algerian radio reported. Ross will visit today the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf, where he will remain several days. Then he will go to the capital and after, will head to Rabat (Morocco) and Nouakchott (Mauritania).

Mexican migratory authorities received today 122 Cuban from Costa Rica, who arrived by plane from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, at the border with the United States. This was the fourth group of islanders stuck since November 15, 2015 in Costa Rica who traveled directly to Mexico.
