Information and communication technology-related applications, equipment y systems developed by Cuban firms will be presented at the International Convention and Fair Informatica 2016, to run at the Havana Convention Center as of March 14.

Information and communication technology-related applications, equipment y systems developed by Cuban firms will be presented at the International Convention and Fair Informatica 2016, to run at the Havana Convention Center as of March 14.

These products will be exhibited in the Cuban stand during the trade fair of the 16th Informatica 2016, expected to be attended by specialists from over 20 nations.

They include a comprehensive cybersecurity monitoring and control system (Genesig) and a Cuban pay runway (Simcos), created by the IT Firm for Defense (Xetid).

The project on the implementation of the terrestrial digital television in Cuba will also be presented.

Meanwhile, the University of Information Sciences (UCI) will present an integrated system of statistical data management, a comphrehensive system on health care and the Orion search engine.

And the Jose Antonio Echeverria Higher Polytechnic Institute will bring to the fair several apps to assist the forensic operational work.

All these works won a contest called by the organizing committee of Informatica 2016, under the Ministry of Computer Sciences and Communications, with the purpose to make public Cuba's breakthroughs in the development, integration, sustainability and independence in the field of the information and communication technologies (ICT).

According to organizers, Informatica 2016 is set to be a space for exchange among professionals, scientists, government representatives and international bodies interested in promoting, discussing and knowing the advance of ICT, telecommunications, electronics and medical equipment in Cuba and worldwide.

The event will include workshops, symposiums and masterly lectures by renowned experts from Latin America, Europe, the United states and Canada.
