African Ambassadors attending the 15th Conference on African and African-American Culture, in its third day today, described this continent as a land of a promising future, plunged into advances and challenges in the path to development.

African Ambassadors attending the 15th Conference on African and African-American Culture, in its third day today, described this continent as a land of a promising future, plunged into advances and challenges in the path to development.

In the panel on the current situation in the region, Ethiopian Ambassador Michel Takele said that the hegemonic media promote a distorted image of these countries, some of which offer many opportunities for investments and have a swift progress in their economies.

Meanwhile, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Gambia Masanneth Kinteh mentioned as challenges the terrorism, the conflicts amid ethnic groups and countries, the wrong managements that have led to stagnation, the mental colonization, financial instability and indebtedness.

Ambassadors from the Republics of Namibia, South Africa and Mali, Jerobean Shaanika, Napthal Manana and Abdoul Kaoler, respectively, agreed to express themselves in support of prosperity of their nations with a sustainable and inclusive development and the elimination of scourges as poverty and lack of health.

African Ambassadors praised Cuba, a country that has taken roots in the feelings of the people in Africa, where many specialists graduated in Cuban universities during more than 50 years contribute to these positive changes.
