According to a statement from the Cuban embassy in Belgium, concurrently accredited to Luxembourg, 'the visit has confirmed the political will of both governments and peoples to improve bilateral ties and continue progress on the construction of better relations between the Caribbean country and the European Union.'
The Cuban representatives were received by Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, as well as Foreign Minister, Jean Asselborn, and Justice Minister, Felix Braz.
Cuban lawmakers also visited the Chamber of Deputies of the European nation, where they were received by its president, Mars Di Bartolomeo, and other parliamentary authorities.
