From this October 10, in the Fourth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of Cuba, Esteban Lazo Hernández was elected as president of this Cuban legislative body, with 99.83 percent of the votes, while Ana María Mari Machado, remained as vice president and Homero Acosta Álvarez to serve as Secretary.
The new members of the Parliament will also serve in those positions in the Council of State, as stipulated in the new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba approved on February 24, 2019.

From the Cuban Upper East we celebrate that the deputy Rosalina Fournier Frómeta, Director of the Project and Engineering Company GENEDIS, in Guantanamo, was ratified as a member of the State Council.
The new State Council is made up of twenty-one members, including women, youth, blacks, mestizos, workers, professionals, a composition that reflects diversity and social inclusion in our country.
