Council of State Vice President Salvador Valdes is heading the Cuban delegation to the 10th Summit of Petrocaribe and the events on the bicentennial of the Letter of Jamaica, said an official note released here on Saturday.

The integration forum is taking place today at the Conference Center in Montego Bay, on the northwest coast of Jamaica, while the activities for the anniversary of the historic document, written by Simon Bolivar, will be held on Sunday.

Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro will preside over the meeting.

On Sunday, the two presidents will inaugurate the Simon Bolivar cultural center in Kingston, in honor of the 200th anniversary of the Letter of Jamaica, considered one of the most significant documents in the continent's history.
