Bolivian President Evo Morales thanked today the Cuban people and its government for facilitating the talks that can put a nearer end to the armed conflict in Colombia.

In a brief press conference from the Quemado Palace, seat of the Executive, the president expressed his 'admiration and respect for the Cuban people to (President) Raúl (Castro), to (the historic leader of the Revolution) Fidel (Castro) for their efforts and contacts so that these negotiations take place'.

We are very pleased with the agreement between the government of Colombia and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army (FARC-EP), said the Bolivian head of state, who warned about the importance of dialogue to solve internal and external conflicts.

However, he clarified that there are still issues to be solved in the region, including the return of the Malvinas Islands to Argentina, the end of the US economic blockade against Cuba, and Bolivia's return to the sea.

I understand the efforts of the president of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, and the FARC-EP that have understood that in these times revolutions are not made with guns and bullets, but through the polling stations.

The Colombian government and the guerrillas announced yesterday in Havana that in six months the peace will be signed in that country after an armed conflict that have lasted for over five decades.
