After a week of exchanges, meetings and presentation of technological developments, today concludes the 26th International Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Camagüey-2015, which was attended by nearly 250 delegates from several countries.
The Convention Center Santa Cecilia hosted from September 21specialists from Mexico, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Martinique, Angola, Japan, China, Panama , United States, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Peru, Ecuador and Cuba.
In this context, was held a trade fair with the participation of 15 entities, which manufacture surgical instruments and devices with major technological innovations designed for orthopedics, traumatology and neurosurgery.
Assistant Professor Jorge Morgado said to Prensa Latina that the Cuban Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology is among the few in the world that can organize every year a high level scientific event with the participation of foreign and national academic and commercial exhibitors.
Professor Morgado said that the health system in Cuba offers all resources to the best interest of society.
The Congress concludes today with a conference on the use of external fixation in orthopedic pathologies and trauma by Dr. Rodrigo Alvarez Cambra.
Later, the Mexican professor Mario Armando Castellanos will present in plenary session in the Main Theater a semblance of Alvarez Cambra, general directos of the Frank Pais International Orthopedic Scientific Complex in Havana.
Today also will take place the closing ceremony and awarding of the 26th International Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Camagüey-2105, after intense days of an event that sets the foundation for future collaboration and joint development programs in the world of orthopedics.
