The United States punitive policy is also aimed to put all kinds of obstacles in the path of the Antillean nation to step on firm ground to completing necessary capacities to supply drinking wáter and that which goes to agricultura in order to see a happy ending to harvests and industries also.

The problems show up, for erxample, in the acquisition of high-density polyethylene for the manufacturing of plumbing pipes, as credits have to be received with one year amortization and high interest rates because the mentioned blockade reduces other possibilities by increasing perception of risk of the country.

The report presented by the Cuban government to the United Nations General Assembly leaves also evidence those interventionist regulations in international trade made Spanish Enterprise Sterling Sihi, supplier of Cuba Hidraulica, cancel the order of pumps destined to that sector when their final destination was disclosed.

Also, the load of chlorine bought by the island from a Colombian company had to be moved by a third country, increasing transportation costs fearing economic sanctions from the U.S., a permanent threat wielded by Washington.

The worst is that situation raised by 120 thousand 950 dollars the said operation and put at risk the continuation of delivery of that vital product for water treatment for human consumption, which does not sensitize the bureaucrats busy putting giant fines to any company ready to do business with Cuba.

The persecution to those who respect the rights established by international trade is part of the work of offices of the U.S. administration and in the time space analyzed by the Cuban report, it registered a significant increase due to the extraterritorial application of blockade laws.
