The participants, from about 15 countries, agreed to support the actions to strengthen the process towards the normalization of relations between Washington and Havana, on the basis of respect and self-determination of both peoples.
As part of the plan, counteracting any maneuver and media campaign against Cuba on time, by all possible means, particularly through the proper use of social networks, is also on the list.
Supporting Cuba's collaboration projects in those nations and other world areas, and working in teams with the coordinating committees of solidarity with the island and party and associative structures in favor of the Caribbean country, appear among the actions in the document.
The meeting was attended by delegates from Chile, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Mexico, Panama and Nicaragua.
Nicaragua was chosen to host the meeting in the first event of its kind, held in 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Third Meeting of Cuban Residents in Latin America and the Caribbean will be held in Panama in 2017.
