Germany's Deputy Foreign Minister and Minister of Economy and Energy, Sigmar Gabriel, concluded Friday an official visit to Cuba, during which he was received by First Vice President Miguel Díaz-Canel.

The government of Costa Rica announced that it has scheduled the departure of the first group of Cuban emigrants attempting to reach the United States, who have been stranded in the country since mid-November, for next Tuesday, January 12.

The importance of linking agricultural production with proper distribution as a means to counter the current high prices in the sector, was highlighted yesterday by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, a member of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee and first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers.

Delegations from Cuba and the United States concluded today three days of talks in this capital on hydrography and nautical charts, as part of the process of bilateral rapprochement activated a year ago.

Cuba´s National Hydrualic Resources Institute (INRH) made investments in 2015 to habilitate nets, reservoirs, pumping stations and others, which will benefit more than half a million people.
