Prensa Latina news agency states that the vaccine, named Porvac, is developed by the local Genetic Engineering in Camagüey province and it will have an effectiveness of over 90 percent about the control and eradication of the classic pork fever.

Jesús Zamora, who is the director of the local Genetic and Biotechnology center from Camagüey province, pointed out that the data collection for its registration, through the related local institution of the Agriculture Ministry, should be concluded in the first three-month period to begin its marketing.
